Adsorber (AD)

Venjakob's adsorption technology is particularly applied in the treatment of exhaust air from VOC of low and very low concentration. Adsorber (AD) is also used to smooth out pollutant concentration peaks. The adsorption process is based on the adhesion of VOC to a surface of AD resulting in VOC concentration increase. Then hot-tempered air of considerably lower flow-rate desorbs the pollutants from AD surface and streams to RTO, TI or CTO of compact size, where autothermal process can be rapidly achieved due to the high concentration of VOC. The excess of heat can be effectively utilized by application of heat exchanger system.
